A product of the artistic and cultural hotbed of  Peckham / South London, Melissa Hurst is a passionate artist, whose work speaks volumes , as her message of self love and acceptance leaps off the canvas in each and every piece she creates. 

A Creator in every sense of the word, Melissa is also a mother who uses her platform not only to reach out to the victims of domestic violence and abuse, but for various individuals of all ages who are finding confidence and overcoming obstacles  through Art Therapy Through the blending of colours and the effective use of skilful techniques; Melissa guides classes through therapeutic sessions- helping them connect with their emotions and pioneering events for the community that painting, fun and networking.  

Although Melissa has been working in the financial banking industry for more than a decade she had always felt truly in her element when alone with a pallet of paints and a canvas.  During the recent pandemic, armed with time to truly explore her hidden talent, Melissa began painting her now sought after pieces and taking special orders for commissions. 

A self taught artist, she continues to build her brand - specialising in portraits and landscapes, using mainly acrylic and oil paints. 

Drawing inspiration from south London, feminine energy and the resilience often required for survival Melissa’s art is timeless and a stark reminder that Art Heals.

Melissa has already sold a high volume amount of amazing pieces & has even featured in South London Press - 1998, winning a painting competition
